Bringing flourishing

Kāinga Maha works across Aotearoa New Zealand to help shape housing that creates lasting value for communities. We combine development expertise with a strong understanding of the communities we work in, supporting outcomes that are grounded, enduring, and fit for context.
What we do
We partner with government and councils, iwi, community housing providers, churches, landowners, funders, and other for-purpose organisations to deliver housing that meets real local needs.
We provide flexible support across the development journey, from early visioning and feasibility through to design, delivery, and beyond. We can lead end-to-end or step in where targeted development expertise is needed most.
At every stage, we balance commercial realities with social and environmental outcomes, helping deliver housing that is well-considered, resilient, and suited to where it's built.
