Strong governance for dependable delivery

Kāinga Maha is an independent, for-purpose development specialist with its own governance, assurance, and delivery frameworks. We operate with commercial discipline, transparent processes, and rigorous risk management to ensure every project is delivered with confidence, integrity, and long-term value.

Kāinga Maha is wholly owned by Home Foundation, a charitable trust, and forms part of a purpose-led group working across the housing system. As the Group’s residential development arm, it leads development projects across Aotearoa while also operating independently as a partner-facing development specialist. 

Home Capital Partners is the Group’s impact investment fund manager, supporting capital into housing delivery. Home Construction delivers full-service construction capability, while Te Wawata Kāinga provides people-first housing management focused on long-term wellbeing. The Group is guided by Home Foundation as kaitiaki, driving systems thinking, research, and innovation.
