As Kāinga Maha's Development Economics Lead, he leads our development economics work, working with mission-led landowners and for-purpose delivery partners across Aotearoa, navigating everything from first-stage feasibility to funding strategy and board-level reporting, and the recommendations that shape whether a project proceeds and on what commercial terms.
His background in financial engineering, combined with accreditation in Social Return on Investment, means he builds financial models that hold up to scrutiny while keeping sight of what the housing is actually for. He has also been driving the adoption of AI-enabled workflows across the team, sharpening how that analysis gets done. That combination of technical depth and understanding of social outcomes is what partners like The Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, VisionWest, and the New Zealand Housing Foundation rely on.
His work spans detailed development feasibility and business case preparation, housing needs and market demand analysis, funding and partnership structuring, and cashflow and sensitivity modelling for residential and mixed-tenure projects. He has a strong track record supporting IRRS funding applications, where Kāinga Maha clients have seen consistently high success rates.
