Natalie is a Registered Architect (NZRAB) who leads design direction at Kāinga Maha, translating community and organisational values into places that help people belong.
With over 12 years delivering residential and community-focused architecture projects across Aotearoa, her work focuses on design visioning with clients, early feasibility design, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams through all design phases. She brings a design-led approach supported by strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills, ensuring projects are well coordinated and responsive to both client and community needs.
Her background includes social housing, iwi-led housing developments, and community projects, where she focuses on creating thoughtful, well-designed spaces that support a strong sense of belonging. She specialises in masterplanning and early feasibility, grounding each project in place-based design that reflects both community and organisational values, and contributes to exploring innovative construction methods and sustainability strategies.
As Design Lead, Natalie guides early design direction and works closely with internal teams and external architects to deliver cohesive, high-quality outcomes that enable communities to flourish.
Outside of work, Natalie enjoys creative pursuits including knitting and pottery.
